Product Overview
COMES WITH GREAT 3-D COVER ARTWORK! At long last the third LP from those Bremen lads is available. The COOL JERKS have been going through all their dictionaries and have come up with songs in several different languages - not just English and German but also French, Japanese, Dutch and Italien. Naturally there are also a couple of pure instrumentals. The topics are as diverse as wed expect from the COOL JERKS - ranging from monsters, love, girls right through to buying stamps.
The music pulses out of the speakers and is reminiscent of their first LP - THIS IS IT - now sold out on vinyl and only available on CD - Its no accident that SCOTT ROGERS from the US COOL JERKS was flown in from Memphis to lend that dirty guitar sound of his to ,Smokin The Pope". But the COOL JERKS wouldnt be the COOL JERKS if they didnt have something up their sleeves for every friens of good music - be it 60s beat, authentic Beatlesque sounds, twist, garage or punk rock. There's even a 60s ballad on the bonus 7" - the German version of the Small Faces classic "All Or Nothing".
"Bunker Revolution" on the special bonus DJ 7" is a song in the style of the Hamburg school with a kick-ass attitude, proving just how versatile the COOL JERKS really are. The LPs is not just a treat for the ears, but the eyes as well - the cover is in a 3D effec and shows the return of the lost 4th Cool Jerk, Erich Sellheim the organist, in his "brorrowed" spaceship.
The liner notes, written by Gerd-August Lekkebusch, Chairman of the Association Dedicated to Saving Beat Music - 1965, Bremen branch show that with their sound the COOL JERKS of Bremen pave the way for the cultural revival of rebellion, wildness and coolness: "This is gut-level, stage-rocking music".
